Licensing Of Non-Copy-Protected Software

We now support the licensing of software that does not incorporate our License Verification Library. This is especially suitable for components, scripts, add-ins and other software that is difficult or inappropriate to copy-protect. We charge a very competitive US$0.60 + 8% commission on sales of non-copy-protected software (i.e. the same as for upgrades of SIVL-compliant software). (Note that we do not currently sell software that requires a key generator other than our own.)

German Version On-Line

The first translation of our registration system, into German, is now being used by software buyers. All the registration and instruction pages and e-mails have been translated (totalling a staggering 15,000 words!) to create a completely seamless experience for German readers, of whom there are approximately 98 million in Europe alone.

Support For Custom Keys

It is now possible to pass a key of your own via our Personal License Register to your program. You could use this key, for instance, to decrypt a portion of run-time code. Since the key is never revealed to the user and the Personal License Register is encrypted using a sophisticated proprietary algorithm, this method is virtually impossible to compromise (e.g. by anonymously publishing a valid key or cracking/patching the software).

Improved Financial Reports

Authors can now access detailed summaries of sales, payments and any adjustments for any calendar month, past or future. See here for a sample report.

Authors can now also see a detailed breakdown of each transaction processed: sale price, discounts applied, customer details, and income distribution (to affiliates, resellers etc). See here for a sample transaction breakdown.

Affiliate Management System

Our affiliate management system allows you to set up affiliate schemes to which registered users, the general public or just invited individuals can subscribe. You set the discount to offer to the affiliate (as a fixed amount, a percentage or a combination of the two). The affiliate can then choose to pass on some of that discount to the end user as an incentive. We look after the rest, including generating sales reports and paying the affiliates.

Resellers & Income Distributions

We handle distribution of income at source to any third parties, not just affiliates. This is suitable (and is currently used) for software sold through an appointed reseller. You simply create a separate edition of your program (with its own ID) for the reseller to distribute and set how much of each sale of that edition will be paid to the reseller. We look after the rest.

Similiarly, if you want a proportion of income to be paid to a charitable fund, then let us know the details of the charity and we will set up an account for it.
