1) Register your contact details
We will hold your details in an on-line
account, which you can access (or remove) at any time. You will need
to choose a log-in name and password and fill out a form. We'll be notified automatically
once you've created your account, and soon after we will authorize it, giving you access
to much more information (see 3 and 4 below). Unless you have already registered a program
with OSoLiS, you should start by creating a
new account.If you have
already registered a program with OSoLiS, then you should use your
existing log-in name and password to log in.
You will be shown the contact details we already have on file for
you. There are a few extra pieces of
information we will ask you for. Just submit
these details to create your author account.Please note that we will
not pass your details to any other organization. We may occasionally
send e-mails on behalf of
other organizations, but you can opt not to receive these.
2) Test out our licensing system as a customer
By registering as an author, you are
automatically registered as a regular customer. This means you can immediately
log in as a software buyer to
obtain licenses for SIVL-compliant programs. You will find a freeware program,
URL
Organizer 1, that you may download in order to test out the
licensing system. Follow the instructions to obtain a license and download a Personal
License Register.
3) Check out details of our services and contract with authors
Soon after creating your account you
will hear from us that your author account has been opened up. The next time you log into
your account, you'll see a new link to the 'Info-Zone'. Here you'll find more details
about SIVL, our services to authors, and you'll be able to review our contract with
authors.
4) Test out our licensing system as an author
From within the Info-Zone (see 3
above) you'll be able to test out the licensing system from the point of view of an
author. You'll see how easily you can set prices, check sales figures, etc.
5) Sign up
In the Info-Zone (see 3 above)
you'll find instructions on how to go about signing a contract with OSoLiS.
